BUILDING WAS THE EASY PART

The internet is full of people.
That doesn’t mean they’re your audience.

A broad market isn’t a useful audience. “Founders.” “Creators.” “Small businesses.” Those labels are easy to write and hard to act on. Code x Audience helps you turn assumptions into specific hypotheses, research the signals behind them, and understand where your best opportunities may be.

FROM ASSUMPTION TO EVIDENCE

Know who you’re looking for.
And why.

Turn product context into audience context
your next campaign can actually use.

01 / DEFINE THE AUDIENCE

Start with a hypothesis.

Describe what you built, the problem it solves, and who you think might care. Turn broad markets into specific segments worth investigating.

02 / FIND THE SIGNALS

Look for evidence, not imaginary personas.

Research the problems people discuss, questions they ask, tools they use, things they search for, and moments that signal intent.

What is Code x Audience?

Code x Audience is an audience research workspace for builders. It helps you turn product context into audience hypotheses, research the signals behind them, and keep useful findings together so your marketing starts with a clearer idea of who you are trying to reach.

Who is it built for?

Solo founders, indie makers, vibe coders, creators and small product teams who can build products faster than they can figure out distribution. It is especially useful when you have something real to market but are still asking who you should focus on first.

Is this another AI persona generator?

No. The goal is to start with hypotheses and collect evidence that can strengthen, weaken or change them, rather than invent a fictional customer profile and call it research.

What does Codex actually do?

Codex can work from your product and audience context to prepare research, investigate relevant discussions and sources, organize findings, identify recurring signals and help turn those findings into a clearer audience brief.

Does it automatically contact people?

No. Audience research and outreach are different jobs. Code x Audience focuses on understanding who may be relevant and why. You stay in control of any external communication.

How is this different from Code x Campaign?

Code x Audience helps answer “who should we reach?” Code x Campaign helps answer “what should we do next?” Audience context can become an input into your campaign planning.

Can the same product have several audiences?

Yes. Most products can. The purpose of the workspace is to compare audience hypotheses, collect evidence and decide which groups deserve more attention.

Do I need Codex to use it?

The audience framework is useful on its own. The planned workflow is designed around Codex for contextual research and preparation; any available prompts or briefs can also be copied for use elsewhere.
